Dr Violeta Oro is involved in a Citizen science research project entitled Women netting for domestic seed treasure revival, abbreviated as NEST (project link: https://www.dsss.org.rs/nest/index.php), organized by the Center for the Promotion of Science.
Researchers
Scientific activity of the Nematology Laboratory includes:
✔️ study of morphology and taxonomy of plant and soil nematodes (especially phytoparasitic species);
✔️ study of biodiversity, ecology and evolution of nematodes;
✔️ study of genetics, biology and behavior of nematodes;
✔️ studying the interactions of plant and soil nematodes with other organisms;
✔️ study of biological control of phytoparasitic nematodes.
The Nematology Laboratory is accredited in accordance with the requirements of the SRPS ISO / IEC 17025: 2017 standard.
Authorization of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management
Nematology Laboratory is authorized by the Plant Protection Directorate, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Republic of Serbia for:
- laboratory tests for the presence of nematodes [Bursaphelenchus xylophilus, Ditylenchus dipsaci, D. destructor, Globodera pallida, G. rostochiensis, Meloidogyne chitwoodi, M. fallax, Xiphinema americanum, X. californicum, X. rivesi];
- assessment of nematocides, active substances, i.e. basic substances in the procedure of registration of plant protection products – authorized research associate drVioleta Oro.
