Main activity of the Department of Phytopharmacy and Environmental Protection:
✔️ testing of physical and chemical properties of pesticides;
✔️ testing of physical and chemical properties of fertilizers;
✔️ examining and giving opinions on the biological nutritional value of fertilizers.
The scientific research of the Department is aimed at:
✔️ studies of plant physiology, especially stress physiology and mineral plant nutrition;
✔️ development of modern methods of extraction of biologically active compounds from plant material;
✔️ study of antioxidant potential of plants;
✔️ development and improvement of methods for detection of heavy metals in soil and plant material;
✔️ development of modern, reliable, fast and sensitive techniques for characterization of physical and chemical properties of pesticides and fertilizers.
Laboratory for testing pesticides and fertilizers
Within the Department of Phytopharmacy and Environmental Protection, a Laboratory for testing pesticides and fertilizers has been established, which is accredited in accordance with the requirements of the SRPS ISO / IEC 17025: 2017 standard.
Authorization of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management for testing pesticides and fertilizers
The Plant Protection Directorate under jurisdiction of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Republic of Serbia has authorized the Laboratory for testing pesticides and fertilizers for testing:
✔️ plant nutrition products;
✔️ plant protection products;
✔️ active substances and basic substances in the registration process;
✔️ chemical and physical properties of samples of plant nutrition products and plant protection products taken during the inspection procedure.
