Research field

Taxonomy, systematics and phylogeny of eriophyoid mites (Acari: Prostigmata: Eriophyoidea). Mites – host plant interaction and their negative effects. Distinction of criptic species by application of linear and geometry morphometric methods, combined with molecular-genetic analysis. Vector role of planthoppers and leafhoppers (Hemiptera, Auchenorrhyncha) in epidemiology of plant diseases caused by phytoplasma ('Candidatus Phytoplasma', Molicutes). Molecular identification and characterization of quarantine and economically important insects and phytoplasmas.
